Psalm 133 & 134

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!"

It is great when a group gets along well. When a family, a team, or a group of friends is united, it is a wonderful feeling. When we as individuals can set aside our own desires for the benefit of others, our lives are mutually blessed. In your life you have many different groups you are around. Are there groups for which you are willing to set your own desires aside?

  1. It is hard for me to put my own desires aside. Depending on the situation or group, the level of difficulty changes. I found in Africa and the mission trip to Louisiana, it was easy to put what I wanted aside. So a cold shower isn't so bad, at least I can take one...the hairdryer went out, ok it's an up-do day. These things seemed so minor when I was in those situations, yet if they had happened at home would have been disastrous and cause for griping and complaining. For me there are situations in which I set my desires aside, more so than specific groups. When I do I feel good, and don't have the guilt I feel after pushing someone else aside so I get my way.
