Psalm 127 & 128

"Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain"

I believe that reading scripture on a daily basis is one way the Lord builds our house. The regular exposure to scripture opens our lives to the influence of God. You may not feel God every day but the discipline of the practice helps you draw near to the Lord. That allows God to guide and direct us in the ways that are pleasing to God.

  1. I have missed opening my Bible to study and read daily. Leaving the routine of school made it harder to set aside time each day to spend with God. I still enjoyed quiet time and other devotionals, but still missed reading His word-I am looking forward to getting back in to this routine!

I truly enjoy the Psalms, and these verses especially ring true. Our foundation, whether for a city, a home, a family, a relationship, anything must be built on the Lord. I have seen recently the difference when God is a building block-He makes His presence known and it is absolutely amazing! If we honor Him, praise Him, and above all trust Him, He will bless our lives. He has mine in many ways recently, it makes me want to share it with others so that they may do the same.
