Luke 14

Who do you invite to dinner? Do you invite your friends? Neighbors? Those who have invited you? Do you ever consider inviting "the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind"? Jesus challenges us to look at the world and others in a different way.

  1. I'm not sure that I totally understand the last section of this chapter. However, I think the first part (to which Ken referred) must mean that we should try to look at things the way God does, rather than through our "earthly" eyes. He reminds us that the least shall be greatest - and also to NOT do things so we will be repaid. That is one of the many blessings of our church ministries - that we are able to do things for those who cannot repay us but rather simply to show them the love of our Lord.
