I have always found it amazing that Zechariah does not believe the angel when told that Elizabeth would have a child. Why would a priest not believe his prayer had been answered? What would he not believe the angel of God? Of course, how often do I not believe God?

What a very beautiful and blessed Candlelight service on Christmas Eve! As I read about Zechariah and his unbelief - and then what happened when he finally did believe, I began thinking about last night's service. What if everyone at all the services truly "believed" and "lived" the words that were spoken, read in Scripture and sung? Through the work of the Holy Spirit, I am sure that many did!
