Mark 11:1-11

Jesus enters Jerusalem knowing he is going to die. Can you imagine what the experience must have been like for him. He knows death is just a few days away. The death is not one he deserves, but one to which he is giving his life. He is giving his life because of how much he loves us. This is his gift for us.

  1. I wonder how many times that we praise God on Sunday and then deny him(much like the crowd) only a few days later? I'm asking this about myself when I become selfish, judgmental, etc.

What a wondrous love that I take so for granted!

  2. The part of the passage that stood out to me was the reply the disciples gave when they were caught untying the colt. They simply answered that the Lord had told them to, He needs it and He'll bring it back. Can you imagine if that was the response someone gave today if they were caught taking someone's car? I don't think that "The Lord needs it and will bring it right back" would suffice. That answer is enough for the people who witnessed this. I find it amazing that they had such faith in who God was and the plan He had.
