Matthew 24

Many love to speculate as to when the end of time will be. They take parts of scripture, like Matthew 24 or Revelations, and try to determine when Christ will return. Yet, Jesus is rather direct in saying that no one will know the time (verse 36). What Jesus is doing is calling us to right living. That if we live in relationship with him, it will not matter when the end comes, we will be ready.

  1. When reading the passages about the end of the world, I couldn't help but think when it would be-if it's today or tomorrow would I be ready? Am I living the right kind of life? I think we should live in relationship with God as if today is the last day. Why put it off? I am a person who likes to plan and have a schedule, so this whole unknown thing makes me a little uneasy. There is no sense in worrying about it though, because as Jesus said, no one knows-not Him, not the angels, no one. The best thing we can do to prepare is to live our lives for Him.
