Psalm 103

The Psalm gives praises to God for the way God treats humanity. God's compassion, love, forgiveness are among the qualities for which God is praised. For those of us living in Texas, we probably can't go anywhere today. Instead of complaining about being trapped, why not spend the day giving praise to God for all the blessings that have been bestowed upon us/

  1. I consider this one of the most beautiful Psalms - but one I don't read very often. My goal of the day is to memorize at least the first part of it so I can "call it to mind" anytime, anywhere.

I love being housebound for a few days. It gives me a chance to rest, get things done I have pushed aside such as organizing my house, and just reflecting on life. I especially appreciate Ken's suggestion to spend the day praising God for all His blessings!

  2. We are truly blessed. Even if we were housebound, that meant we have a house. We were warm, had food, and were safe. That is quite a lot to thank our Lord for. We can be thankful for the beauty of the snow, and the chance to help others and show others a serving spirit as we host guests this weekend, and show good sportsmanship.
