The challenge is to read scripture for 10 minutes and pray for 10 minutes every day. These daily scripture readings are connected to the sermon from the previous Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Grapevine.
After addressing the issue of when those who have died will go to heaven in chapter 4, Paul now turns to when Jesus will return. He tells us that we don't know. Jesus will return at an unexpected moment. But he tells us that we have nothing to fear. We are to live our lives each day in the manner that Jesus calls us to live. In doing so, we will be ready no matter when Jesus returns.
