May 25 - 1 John 1

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

This is an amazing promise. Forgiveness offered as we are willing to confess. The problem is too often we are unwilling to confess. Instead of confessing we justify why our actions aren't sin. Sometimes we find temporary satisfaction in the act so we pretend there is nothing wrong with our action. But life goes much better when we confess. When we acknowledge that we have done wrong and lay it before God.
