Psalm 105 & 106
These two Psalms are remembrances. The reader is invited to remember the actions of God and the people of Israel. It is good for us to remember. Remembering builds our faith, it gives us hope. When we are in a difficult situation a remembrance of how God has helped us in the past can carry us through. The hard thing about remembering is that we forget. We forget what God has done for us in the past. We forget those moments when we feel God's presence.
Four years ago I started a journal. I do not journal on a regular basis, I journal when those moments happen that I know God has acted. It helps me to remember and have faith in difficult times.
