Philippians 3

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God called me heavenward in Christ Jesus"

Did you ever think about your spiritual life in terms of a goal? Paul certainly does. He understands that his life is centered in spirituality. His goal in life is to live out his faith as he has been called by Christ. What is your goal?

  1. I have tried to set spiritual goals, but honestly its one thing to let myself down and another to let GOD down. I try daily to "thank" God. You had given a sermon about how we forget to thank God for our blessings and that you wake up each morning, thanking him. I thought to myself...I want to adopt that habit and so I did. In addition, I try to pray daily. Nothing really "set in stone" but what moves me at the time. For example, I prayed for the UT student parents and friends as I am sure they had no idea what was going to happen that day. I try to be positive, love my enemy (very hard to do, but I do try), smile, and do the right thing. So, I guess I don't really set goals, I just practice what I think would make God happy, but something to ponder. Thank you for being such a wonderful Pastor!!
