The challenge is to read scripture for 10 minutes and pray for 10 minutes every day. These daily scripture readings are connected to the sermon from the previous Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Grapevine.
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
ReplyDeleteThis verse reminds me of Texas in the summer when it rains. How quickly the brown grass will turn green when it rains. The dryness of our souls can quickly be replinished by the bounty of the presence of God. We just need to remember to quiet ourselves before the Lord.
What a wonderful time of year to be reminded to "quiet ourselves before the Lord!" I hope that we can all be reminded of our blessings and take time to give gratitude to our Lord - in that quiet time and also in busy times.
