The crippled man is healed and Peter preaches his second sermon. In both situations he turns the attention away from himself towards inviting people into relationship with Jesus. When Jesus called Peter, his invitation was "to become fishers of men". Peter is now living out that call.
How has Christ called you? What is it that Christ would have doing?

Jesus gave such amazing power to Peter. I wonder if it's possible for Him to give that kind of power to many of us?
ReplyDeleteIn recent years, I have found out from some "saints" in Bible study groups that no matter if we are 19 or 90, we continue to ask our Lord to show us what He would have us doing. However, I often question if I would have the courage and faith to follow Jesus' call if He came to my door and knocked - or sent me a text message??
