Psalm 139
God knows who we are. God loves us so much that God knows the details of our lives. If God knows us this clearly, then we might as well be completely honest with God. Honest enough to share our most secret thoughts. It might be amazing what will happen when we open and share with God. The amazing part will not be what it does for God, but what it does for us.

What reminder of how well God really DOES know us - even before we were born. This makes it especially amazing that we think He doesn't know some of our non-Christian thoughts or actions!
ReplyDeleteThe verses that particularly spoke to me are 23 and 24: "Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." My dear friend, Worthy Gardner, had a breath prayer which I have copied and repeat many times a day: "Abide in me and me in thee." It is only through allowing God to abide in me that He will rid me of "anxious thoughts" and "offensive ways."
