1 John 1
Isn't it a relief to know that we don't have to be perfect--that God doesn't expect us to be perfect? We live our lives truly for Him, walking in His light, but we may slip up from time to time. We are human and we will all be guilty of sin. The best part of this all, though, is that God frees us from our sin. By proclaiming Jesus as our Savior we are made clean.

6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[b] sin.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to walk in the light sometimes, especially at this time. But as John says, if we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and isn't that what we all need right now? We need to be with one another and help draw each other into the light of Christ, who will give us the strength to move forward.
AMEN
ReplyDeleteDo you ever wonder exactly what it means to "walk in the light" and how to you stay in that light? I'm like Jennifer and am thankful we don't have to try to be perfect! I am so very thankful for God's most amazing grace and love and that we do have such fellowship with one another at this very special church! Certainly Ken and our Lord are rejoicing as they see this happening!
