The challenge is to read scripture for 10 minutes and pray for 10 minutes every day. These daily scripture readings are connected to the sermon from the previous Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Grapevine.
Luke 18
ReplyDeleteSomehow I got the scriptures and days mixed up this week. So we are looking at Luke 18 again
the last story in the chapter is the blind beggar Jesus heals. The man is sitting by the road when he hears Jesus is coming. He calls out to get Jesus' attention but is told to be quiet by those around him. Why would they tell him to be quiet? Are they embarrased by him? Are they tired of his begging? Why wouldn't they want Jesus to turn towards this man?
Do you have anyone in your life that you want to tell to be quiet? Why do you feel that way?
